Catching up with Robyn

Saturday, March 27th, 2010

Another blogging catch up!

This gorgeous young lady is actually my niece and she’s been patiently waiting her turn to be blogged since last year when I took the photos - so sorry that it’s taken SO long Robyn - it was such a fun shoot trying out different outfits, locations and poses. My only excuse is that last year was my busiest yet and family photos always end up being relegated to the bottom of the pile to be eventually sorted out over the winter.

Anyway, here’s hoping to ‘catch up’ with you again this summer.

Family Portrait Session

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

It was great to meet up with this lovely family once again a few weeks back and really good to be able to try out a new nearby location - I always feel inspired by new locations!

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the gorgeous Matilda since she was a baby and she just gets more and more gorgeous every time I see her - lots of fun too!

I can’t wait to get designing a beautiful album for these guys.

Family Portrait Session

I was delighted to meet this lovely family last week for a couple of hours at the beautiful Manor Farm Country Park.

Emma & Wal

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

I really enjoyed this shoot back in April with Emma & Wal at Old Portsmouth which seems to have become one of my favourite locations these days!

We were a bit short for time but still managed to get some lovely images of these guys having a bit of fun.

Let me know what you think!

Jack & Harry

Monday, May 4th, 2009

Having a little look through my posts the other day I noticed that almost every one has a mention of the weather. Well, it is a pretty important factor with most photo shoots taking place outdoors on location - it’s not so much of a problem for me getting wet (although I prefer not to) but it’s not often what clients have in mind when they book the session!

On this particular day I had already been forced to sit outside my house, in my car, unable to get out because of a torrential downpour of hailstones! Talk about April showers… I had serious doubts as to whether the shoot would go ahead but with a few hours to go I just crossed my fingers and hoped it would pass.

Fortunately, the weather held off just long enough to get these great pictures of Jack & Harry in their garden, but not long enough to stop me from getting soaked on the way back to my car!

School Holiday Family Bookings

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Oh dear, I seem to be getting terribly behind with this blogging thing! It seems an age ago that I took this lovely photograph of the gorgeous Hannah last October half term on the beach at Hayling. It wasn’t the best conditions for a photo shoot with the wind, rain and cold against us - in such conditions I thank goodness that I choose to use professional Canon equipment that doesn’t let me down. Thankfully Hannah was an absolute Angel (despite feeling a little under the weather) and it was a pleasure to photograph her. Doesn’t she look gorgeous!

Today, the weather and light is glorious, and bookings for family portraits over the Easter Holidays are good, in fact, if you’re thinking of booking in over the Easter holidays then it’s probably best to do it sooner than later - time has a frustrating habit of catching up with us!

William

Despite the freeeeeeezing cold weather I really enjoyed this photo shoot. The good thing about the very cold weather (and possibly the fact that it was new years eve) was that the golf course was pretty much deserted and so we could happily not worry too much about stray golf balls!

William is a keen swimmer and it plays such a big part of his life that his mum was wanting some photographs to reflect that. (Actually I’d personally describe all that early morning before school training as rather mad, in a nice way of course, but then, he is doing rather well at it all!) Needless to say, we headed back inside for the swimming photographs!

Matilda

Friday, November 28th, 2008

This isn’t the first time that I’ve had the privilege to photograph this little star!

Matilda brought her ‘ladybug’ roll-along with her and set me a bit of a challenge in trying to keep up as she rolled around the room and then later outside! Still it was lots of fun and reminded me of just how much I love my job!

Fun in the Woods!

I was privileged to join Alison, Jasmine and Oscar on one of those rare days in August when the sun actually decided to shine!

We headed up to Queen Elizabeth Country Park and had a fabulous time trekking through the woods, searching for the Giants Chair and catching butterflies (well trying to!).

Bella

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

Despite it being rather windy down at the ancient walls in Old Portsmouth we had a great time on this photo shoot last July. Bella was really fabulous to photograph and very happy to try out the various poses I had in mind for her. Mark (my fabulous other half) was assisting with lighting matters, i.e. holding the reflector, did his very best not to get blown away with the reflector acting as a huge sail. Very amusing!
